I was drawn to architecture because of my belief that intentional, thoughtful, creative design can make things better — for a family, for a neighborhood, for an entire community.  When you think about it, people in our society are fanatical about design when it comes to their phone, computer, TV, clothes, or car.  Yet, too often, they make compromises when it comes to their home, arguably the most important tangible asset in their lives.  That is why I feel so privileged to work as a luxury, custom residential architect and builder — it is an amazing thing to be able to work with families to create homes that are filled with architectural beauty and customized function and make their lives better.

In my more than 20 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to design more than 250 homes for families in several different states throughout the country, including new home & remodeling projects, in urban & suburban settings.  Of course, each project has a unique set of circumstances, yet the challenge is always the same:  create architectural beauty while providing for the specific, practical, custom needs each family has for their home.

My design work has been recognized with numerous awards over the years, including more than 60 “Gold Key Awards” from the NAHB as well as 12 “Crystal Key Awards” for architectural innovation and excellence.  Throughout my career, I’ve focused on giving my clients personal attention while working to make their dreams come true through architectural design with a goal of exceeding their expectations by creating homes that are uniquely tailored to their lifestyle.

I have appeared on HGTV and have had projects featured on ABC, NBC, & WGN.  In addition, I have been interviewed as a leading design expert by numerous national and local publications, including:  Wall St. Journal, Chicago Tribune, Barron’s, Crain’s, Chicago Magazine, and others.

I continue to be energized & passionate about what I do — each day I aspire to make my client’s lives better by intentionally, thoughtfully and creatively designing their home.  I consider it nothing short of a privilege to play a small part in helping to create such a significant and enduring source of a family’s security, comfort, and memories:  their home.
