The study of architecture and design has always been a passion of mine. The Chicagoland area, filled with such a vast variety of architectural styles, first piqued my interest while attending Stevenson Highschool. Given the chance to take architectural design classes at a young age, I quickly became fascinated with how much of an impact an Architect has on our community. Everything from a beautiful foyer, to a spacious stairwell, down to the quirky reading nooks, have been developed and designed by an Architect. The families who occupy these spaces get to enjoy those decisions for a lifetime, and I strive for that responsibility.
After Highschool, I attended the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee for both my Bachelors and Masters degrees. I spent these years honing my craft at the computer, on the drawing board, and in the woodshop. The importance of representing design choices became all the more crucial when I began working in Lake Forest, my first taste of practicing residential architecture. Once I began meeting the people and families who we have the chance to help, and having an opportunity to talk through their dream homes and ideas, it became all the more clear this was my trajectory in life.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy bowling, traveling, concerts, gardening, and spending time with my family.
